On redesigning this site

This site has been a personal page — my name, a photo, a bio, some links — for most of its life. It started on locher.at sometime around 2014 and stayed more or less the same for the better part of a decade. Which is fine. It was never supposed to be a project.

But a couple of things changed. I moved to Geneva. locher.at has always been a family domain more than a personal one, and I wanted it to actually feel that way — a place you could visit and find the everybody, not just me. And I’d been meaning to move my personal page to lchr.dev for a while anyway.

So: two sites now. locher.at is the family hub. lchr.dev is this.

The redesign was a good excuse to start from scratch — new layout, new typography, something that felt a bit more considered than what I’d been quietly maintaining for years. The family page is still missing some real content (photos, proper bios) because I’d rather wait and get that right than publish placeholders with real names attached.

The blog section is new territory. I always wanted to blog, but never got off to a good start. Whether I write more this time is genuinely unclear — I’ve started things like this before and let them drift. But the section exists now, and that’s usually the prerequisite.

If you notice something broken, marko@locher.at is the fastest path to me.
